Alexandra O'Sullivan (1996) is a multidisciplinary visual artist primarily working in video, performance, and electronics.
Her work is an exploration of disconnection and alienation from everyday surroundings, which connects to her visceral longing for idealistic environments. Diving into her personal experiences of pseudo-topophilia (longing for places that do not/cannot exist), and a search to feel grounded, her work originates from a highly personal centre. Through the exploration of her personal connection to landscape and environment, she touches on many universal feelings: the desire to belong, the feeling of otherness, disconnection, and emotional survival.
